Baicich - was a DSOC delegate to the founding convention of the Democratic Socialist of America in the spring of 1982. He was also an active member and officer of the International Association of Machinists (LL796) and a leader in the 691-day Eastern Airlines strike (1989-91). Paul is currently Chair of Our Revolution in Howard County, Maryland. He is also a bird-conservationist and co-author of three books on North American birdlife. In the last couple of years his articles - mostly on reviving a new Civilian Conservation Corps - have appeared in The Nation and Jacobin.
